Tools:
THORITE® AG107 Rust Preventative is ready to use - no mixing required. It can be applied with a paint brush or low nap roller. For larger commercial jobs, we recommend using Inland Coatings products. Call for specifications 800-456-8467.
Surface Preparation:
Read all label instructions before beginning. The surface must be free of any oils, moisture or other contaminates that may interfere with good adhesion. Remove any loose material from seams or other surfaces with a wire brush or scraper. Oil and grease should also be removed with solvents or an appropriate detergent cleaner. In many cases, high pressure water blast will be sufficient enough to prepare the surface.
Estimated Coverage:
Standard product coverage on a smooth surface is 1 gallon per 80-100 square feet. More than one coat is recommended. More coats equals a longer life.
Weather & Drying Guidelines:
THORITE® AG107 Rust Preventative is best applied between 50°F to 100°F. Apply when there is no inclement weather in the forecast. Starts to dry in 1-2 hours depending on thickness of application and weather. Allow to cure for a minimum of 24 hours between coats. Variance in temperature and humidity will affect drying time.
Clean-up, Storage and Disposal:
Clean any spills with dikes or absorbents to prevent migration and entry into sewers or streams. Store unused product in its original container, tightly sealed in a well-ventilated place. Dispose of this product to hazardous or special waste collection point, in accordance with state, local or federal requirements.
